Atlas Procurement and Contracting was founded by a husband-and-wife team, Hugh and Imelda. Hugh, with 18 years of experience in the construction industry, began his career in sales and progressed to general contracting. He later worked as a retailer and contractor in Washington for seven years before selling a successful business he had built there. Imelda, on the other hand, had 14 years of experience in finance, working at the executive level in banking. They combined their unique skills and experiences to form Atlas. Hugh’s extensive experience as a contractor and his network of manufacturer relationships complemented Imelda’s expertise in process development, efficiency enhancement, and negotiation strategies with vendors.

Atlas is an independent, minority-owned, full-service, specialty procurement, and technical fulfillment agency.

Our goals are to provide every contractor, large or small, with the purchasing tools to level the playing field against the competition. We also aim to provide service and solutions when attention cannot be split by the client. Additionally, we offer the search and procurement of products outside the scope typically encountered within a trade’s purview. Furthermore, we connect builders and clients from out of state with strong, local vendors and subcontractors.
